About You:

As a Payroll Project Manager at our SaaS HCM (Human Capital Management) company, you will play a crucial role in providing superlative client experiences.  You will work closely with the implementation team and client stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient transition to our payroll software. Your primary responsibilities will include client communication, configuring payroll systems, managing data migration, and providing end-user training and support. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, product development, and customer support, to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the implementation team and client representatives to understand their payroll requirements and configure the system accordingly.

2. Manage data migration from the client's existing payroll system to our SaaS payroll software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

3. Conduct thorough testing of the payroll system to identify and resolve any configuration or data issues.

4. Provide training to clients on how to effectively use the payroll software, including processing payrolls, generating reports, and handling employee-related information.

5. Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the implementation process, addressing their inquiries and providing timely support.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in payroll implementation, preferably in a SaaS environment.

2. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.

3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.

4. Detail-oriented mindset with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to analyze complex data sets.

5. Familiarity with payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

7. Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical and operational issues.

8. Experience with HCM systems or payroll software is a plus.

This person will become a subject matter expert on the Empeon platform and be responsible for empowering our clients to succeed by providing support and responding to inquiries related to our Payroll, Human Resources, and Time & Attendance application.

Responsibilities include:

• Administrate client inquiries through our ticketing system
• Assist clients via email and phone with Payroll & HR practice guidance and apply this knowledge within the toolset of Empeon
• Assist internal and external users with system modules such as profile setups, reporting, accrual setups, and payroll processing setups
• Stay abreast of system modules and updates and test for understanding of monthly released features
• Assist other departments such as Tax and Implementation if the need arises.
• Communication with Product team, management & Development regarding client needs
• Assist with other business objectives as determined by management
• Previous experience in Customer Success, Technical Support, Sales or other client relations fields
• Previous experience working for a payroll service provider or as an organization’s Payroll Manager is a plus.  Experience in using Empeon’s payroll platform a major plus.

We are looking for a Scheduling Business Analyst to join our Workforce Management product team, working closely with and reporting to our Senior Scheduling Product Owner. You will help support and improve the Scheduling module by assisting with discovery, writing clear requirements, contributing to backlog grooming, and collaborating across product, UX, engineering, QA, and internal stakeholders.

This is a hands-on BA role for someone who enjoys understanding real operational pain points, learning complex scheduling workflows, and turning messy requirements into clear, buildable product solutions.

• Support discovery with customers and internal stakeholders to understand pain points and current workflows, and help maintain and refine the Scheduling backlog alongside the product lead.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, workflows, requirements, and acceptance criteria that engineering and QA can build from.
• Investigate reported issues and gaps between current system behavior and customer, operational, or compliance needs, write them up clearly, and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with UX, engineering, and QA to clarify expected behavior, edge cases, and product intent throughout development.

• 2 to 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Associate Product Owner in a SaaS product environment.

In this role, you will help shape the semantic layer, data models, reporting structures, performance strategy, and security model needed to support scalable self-service reporting and analytics.

The data foundation must be designed so future AI-assisted reporting, natural language queries, intelligent insights, and anomaly detection can be built on top of clean, well-modeled, secure, and trusted data.

This is a senior, hands-on architecture role for someone who understands complex data, can translate business needs into scalable data structures, and can partner closely with engineering and product teams to deliver a strong reporting foundation.

What You'll Do

• Design the data architecture behind a self-service reporting and analytics platform where customers can pull data from across the Empeon platform, combine fields, define calculations, and analyze results.
• Design the semantic layer that turns Empeon’s underlying data model into clean, consistent, business-friendly fields, metrics, and definitions.
• Create scalable data models that support reporting, analytics, dashboards, exports, formulas, derived fields, and reusable metrics.
• Define the architecture for analytics workloads, including how they are separated from transactional systems through read replicas, warehouse layers, materialized views, aggregates, or similar approaches.
• Design secure, multi-tenant data access patterns so customers only see the data they are entitled to access.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership on architecture decisions, including build-vs-buy recommendations for reporting and analytics infrastructure.

• Establish standards for data quality, metric consistency, naming conventions, lineage, documentation, and governance.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, BI architecture, analytics platforms, reporting infrastructure, or similar areas.
• Deep experience designing data models, semantic layers, reporting structures, or BI platforms, whether homegrown or built on tools such as Cube, Looker, dbt, Metabase, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL performance background, including execution plans, indexing, partitioning, query optimization, and materialization strategies.
• Experience designing multi-tenant systems where row-level security, data entitlement, and customer-specific access rules are critical.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, lineage, naming standards, metric consistency, and documentation.
• Experience designing reporting or analytics solutions that work with large, complex, production datasets.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clean, scalable, and maintainable data architecture.

This means designing clean, trusted, well-documented, and secure data structures that can support natural language reporting, AI-assisted report creation, anomaly detection, intelligent payroll audits, and conversational analytics in the future.

The right candidate does not need to be an AI specialist, but should understand that AI is only as strong as the data foundation behind it.
